The Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo (MCA) is hosting a Social Media campaign, in celebration of Canadian Multiculturalism Day on June 27, 2018. This is a nationally observed day, and the MCA is starting a local social media initiative this year!
The campaign encourages students and employees to wear their cultural attires to school and work, respectively, on June 27, 2018
The MCA would like to remind that "cultural attire" is not limited to traditional clothing that exists outside of Canada. There are many beautiful cultures represented within the Canadian borders that we look forward to celebrating, as well! We encourage people to think about what it is that makes up their cultural identity, and to wear and share their attires all day on June 27.
Participants can share photos of themselves in their attire on social media using the hashtag #MultiDayYMM. They may also tag the MCA with @mca4wb on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
People will also be able to stop by our head offices to take photos and have multicultural snacks, on the day, as well!
