Tackle Racism Competition Awards Ceremony & Art Exhibition

March 21st marks the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo will give awards to winners of the Tackle Racism Interschool Competition on March 21 every year.

The judges for the Tackle Racism Competition have reached a conclusion about the winners. All of the scores for submissions were sent in to unbiased judges after careful consideration. The judges have mentioned how amazed they are with the talent and bravery displayed by our students.

To celebrate the winners the Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo (MCA) is hosting a red carpet awards ceremony on March 21, 2016. The ceremony is set to take place from 6 – 8pm. Winners will be awarded by community leaders and have the opportunity to share their entries and the reasoning with the community. The art work and poetry submissions of winners will be displayed at the gallery for 14 days.

A very special thanks to MacDonald Island Art Gallery, UNA – Canada, Suncor Energy, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, United Way of Fort McMurray, Fort McMurray School Districts and WeeBounce Art Supplies Store & Gallery.
