Alberta Cultural Days is coming soon!

As we at MCA begin the planning process for our annual celebration of Alberta Cultural Days “World Meets in Wood Buffalo” in September 2014, we are looking for cultural groups to get involved! This year the event will be held on September 27th and 28th.

This is an opportunity to recognize the value of Alberta’s art and cultural communities; your chance to show the community the beauty and magic of your culture; your chance to showcase all you love about your culture through dances and music.

If you are the representative for any cultural group and can organize its members for this event, you are the Ambassador MCA is looking for. Ambassadors are critical in bringing out your culture in the best possible light.

If you are interested in taking on this role, please complete the form below and submit it to MCA by email at or in person at 10003 Gordon Ave. (1st floor of the First United Church).

The deadline for applications has been extended August 13th, 2014.Please note there are a limited number of performance slots available so please apply as soon as possible.

Each performance group will receive an honorarium of $100 per performance day. For instance if you perform both days the group will receive a total of $200.This is in recognition of all the hard work and dedication devoted to the event and to cover any costs you may incur such as costumes, jewelry, make-up, etc.

In order to give you more details about the event and respond to any questions you may have, we are holding a meeting at the Bob Lamb Centre, on August 14th, at 6:30 pm in room 254.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

Looking forward to having you participate.
